PARLIAMENT OF INDIA(JOINT RECRUITMENT CELL)JOB AD EXPIRED PARLIAMENT OF INDIA, (JOINT RECRUITMENT CELL) is conducting examination for recruitment of Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Officers and Research/Referrence Officers in Lok Sabha Secretariat.
POST | VACANCY | PAY SCALE | QUALIFICATION | UPPER AGE LIMIT | Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Officer | 34 | Rs. 9300 -34800 | Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University.
OR
Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline recognised by a University/All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). OR
LL.B degree from a recognised University.
OR
Qualified Cost Accountant/ Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
Preliminary Examination
Examination will consist of 150 multiple choice objective type questions, carrying 150 marks, to be answered in two hours.Paper contains 50 multiple choice objective type questions on General Knowledge 50 questions (50 marks) on Mental Ability, Graphs, Diagrams and simple Arithmetic; and remaining 50 questions (50 marks) on General English including usages, vocabulary corrections, synonyms, antonyms, idiomatic phrases, etc.
Main Examination
It includes 6 papers on General Studies,English Essay, Precis, Comprehension and Grammar,Any two subjects to be selected from the 12 optional subjects. Each subject will have two papers.The 12 optional subject includes Agriculture,Chemistry,Commerce and Accountancy,Economics,History,Law,Management,Mathematics,Physics,Political Science and International Relations,Public Administration,Sociology.
Personal Interview
Personal Interview will carry 150 marks.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates must send the application in typewritten form in the prescribed format.Candidates should affix two identical recently taken passport size photographs, one on the application form and the other on the attendance sheet.Candidates staying abroad and for those posting applications from Andaman & Nicobar Islands/Lakshadweep/Assam/Meghalaya/Arunachal Pradesh/Mizoram/Manipur/Nagaland/Tripura/ Sikkim/Jammu & Kashmir/Lahaul and Spiti districts and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the last date for receipt of application by post only (not by Hand or by Courier) will be 7 days after the last date specified for others.Candidates should send their application in an envelope superscribing clearly the details of the post applied for on the cover of the envelope.Application must be send to THE JOINT RECRUITMENT CELL ROOM NO.521, PARLIAMENT HOUSE ANNEXE, NEW DELHI-110001.Last date for receipt of applications is 16th February, 2009.Candidates can also get the details from our website http://www.parliamentofindia.nic.in
